SW Associates was commissioned by THR to provide an external analysis of the results of 30 interviews (approximately 90 pages) and 17 workshops (approximately 50 pages) conducted with public and private and civil society representatives with stakes in the tourism sector of Cyprus for the development of an updated national tourism strategy.
Conclusions:
Cyprus has the tourism attractions and financial and human resources to be a competitive and high quality destination. Areas for improvements and further development included:

- Regulatory framework
- Product quality and diversity
- Air connectivity
- Brand differentiation
Stakeholders interviewed for the reporting seemed to be in broad agreement for the development and implementation of tourism strategies.
