The Nicaraguan Government was seeking to increase the competitiveness of tourism and tourism investment in the country. SW Associates (with Dr. Robertico Croes) was commissioned via the World Bank to develop a “toolkit” that provided the following:
1) Evaluation and analysis of tourism products in Nicaragua.
2) Competitive analysis of Nicaraguan tourism compared with other countries in the region.
3) Market demand analysis
4) Tourism investment promotion strategy
5) Priority action plan

Results:

  • Comprehensive Study and Strategy for Leveraging the Competitive Advantages of Tourism in Nicaragua (“Estudio y Estrategia de las Ventajas Competitivas de Turismo en Nicaragua”)
  • Comparative Analysis of Tourism Sectors of Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, and Dominican Republic.
